GRIT Junior Freedom Chair

The GRIT Junior is the world's first all-terrain kids wheelchair. features all the off-road, mud-sloshing, grass-conquering fun of a GRIT Freedom Chair...but for kids! With the GRIT Junior, young riders can join their friends and family members on hikes, beach trips, park outings, and more, with the option to self-propel or do so with some assistance. This chair is also designed to grow up with young riders—adjustable brake bars and easy-to-swap lever couplings mean they can enjoy it right until they’re ready for a full-sized adult chair. With GRIT Junior, kids can access all of the outdoor fun and adventure they’d like!

The weight limit for the GRIT Freedom Junior chair is 200 lbs.

Chair may be checked out with your SAILS card for a one week period. Please review the below materials before checking out the GRIT or GRIT Junior Chair. Chair must be reserved at at least 3 days before desired pickup date; you may make a reservation up to 90 days prior to your pickup date.

Chairs were gifted to the Town of Mansfield by Natural Resources Trust of Mansfield.

PLEASE NOTE:

1) I understand that it is my responsibility to bring the GRIT Freedom Chair or GRIT Junior back clean and ready for use by the next participant. If it is not brought back clean, I understand I may be charged a cleaning fee of $50 or more, depending on the condition.

2) I have read the instruction guide for the  GRIT Junior.

3) I am responsible for checking out/in the GRIT Chair or GRIT Junior at the library’s front desk during normal library business hours and loading and unloading it from my vehicle. Library staff will not disassemble or load the chairs into vehicles.
